Scott Greacen

Executive Director, Friends of the Eel River

As the Executive Director of Friends of the Eel River, Scott Greacen works for the recovery of the wild and scenic Eel River, its fisheries, and communities. He has been an environmental advocate in one form or another since the late 1980s, when he worked with now Senator of Colorado Andy Kerr at the Oregon Natural Resources Council, now known as Oregon Wild, during the height of the spotted owl's notoriety. From there his conservation work continued, leading him to serve most recently as Executive Director of Humboldt County’s Environmental Protection Information Center from 2006 to 2010 before beginning his current role. 

He holds a BA from Reed College and a JD, cum laude, from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, and is a member of the California bar.
